I am officially signed up for my first craft show! I’m so excited (and nervous) about it! I don’t know what to expect, though I’ve been reading, A LOT. And that may be a good thing, but could also be a bad thing. All the opinions have varied and who knows what it will actually turn out to be like.
So, in preparation I have been stitching away, trying to get as much done as possible. Because who knows how much I’ll sell…(if anything.) It has been a great kick in the butt though, I’ve been working out ideas and sketching things that I’ve been wanting to get onto paper (and then fabric) for months! One day my husband asked me “why are you drawing about that?” and I proudly responded “Because I can make whatever I want!” I love being able to make anything and everything! I’m still working out my “style”…if I ever even get one. I may just make random things forever, who knows!
Lately I’ve been enjoying stitching up some bible verses. They brighten my day and are always encouraging! “Cling to what is good” is one of my favorites from Romans 12:9. It is so simple but perfect.
Another one of my favorites is “with God all things are possible” from Matthew 19:26. Always a good thing to keep on your mind.
I’ve always been inspired by music. Especially the oldies like Bing Crosby (my grandpa’s favorite). Beyond the sea is on my Bing and friends playlist and its the best to listen to while working.
P.s. – french knots make perfect clouds!
This last one in my embroidery update is a fun one! I was driving in my car one day, thinking to myself about all those important things you mull over, ya know, like “what would my spirit animal be?” and I immediately thought COOKIE MONSTER. DEFINITELY. This is a true story. I’m a weirdo. But I do love cookies. mmmmm.
And don’t forget to check out these hoops on Etsy!
